If standing out from the crowd is what sells hotel rooms these days, Stephen Hanson's B.R. Guest Restaurants has got it covered. The company recently opened Postcard Inn on The Beach in St. Pete Beach, complete with surfboards in the rooms and a BBQ pitmaster.

"The Postcard Inn on The Beach is an authentic reflection of its environment, incorporating the laid-back essence of St. Pete Beach," said Stephen Hanson, president. "Similar to opening the James, our first hotel property, we're looking to build a sucessful brand with unique character that will cater to all types of travelers looking for more than just the trendiest new hotel."

The hotel design features vintage light fixtures and refurbed surf gear. The PCI Beach Bar and Snack Shack provide poolside drinks and snacks while "Big Lou" Elrose serves slow-smoked ribs, brisket, and pulled pork at Wildwood BBQ and Burger. Activities include surfing, shelling, outdoor volleyball, outdoor movies, local fishing, and dolphin sightseeing trips.
